UCL FINAL: All you need to know about the match between two European powerhouse


On Saturday, two of Europe’s powerhouses, Real Madrid and Liverpool, will go head to head for the Champions League title.

Madrid are seeking to win it for the third successive year, while the Reds have not had their hands on the trophy since 2005.

A win for the Spanish giants, will make them the third team to claim three straight European Cup titles. Ajax (1971-73) and Bayern Munich (1974-76) are the only others to win three titles in a row.

This is the eighth appearance for Liverpool in the Champions League finals. They have won the Champions League five times in their history (1977, 1978, 1981, 1984, 2005) losing twice. The last time they reached the final of the competition was in 2007 which they lost 2-1 to AC Milan.
