After two static months, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up five places in the new FIFA Ranking released on Thursday, April 12.
Nigeria have been static in 52nd place for two months, but in the latest FIFA Ranking, they are now the 47th country in world football.
The Super Eagles played two friendly games after the last FIFA Ranking-the 1-0 win over Poland and the 2-0 loss to Serbia- but these games have little or no impact in the latest ranking.
African Ranking
Nigeria have also moved up in the African Ranking moving up one place from seventh to sixth.
Tunisia (14), Senegal (28), Congo DR (38), Morocco (42) and Egypt (46) are all above Nigeria (47) in the African Ranking.
Completing the top 10 African countries in the latest FIFA Ranking are Cameroon (51), Ghana (51), Burkina Faso (53) and Cape Verde (58).
World Ranking

Germany continue to rule world football in number one position followed by Brazil, Belgium, Portugal and Argentina who fell one place.
Switzerland, France , Spain, Chile and Poland make up the top 10.

Argentina fell one place in the latest ranking and are now fifth while Croatia fell three places from 15t h to 18th.
Iceland also made a downward movement, falling four places from 18th to 22nd.
